NOC | Basic Calculus for Engineers, Scientists and Economists

Course abstract

This course in basic calculus intends to equip the engineering and science with the mathematical tools that they would primarily require for their studies. The emphasis is on understanding the concepts through examples and exercises. There will be no detailed proof of results unless it is very simple.

Course Instructor

Prof. Joydeep Dutta

He is currently a Professor of Economics at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Kanpur. He was previously a Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at IIT Kanpur. His reseach interest primarily lies in optimization though he loves mathematics as a whole.
